Role-playing games

A role-playing game, often abbreviated as RPG, is a game where players take on the role of one or more characters and, through conversation and dialectical exchange, create an imagined space where fictional events and happenings occur, within a narrative setting that can be inspired by a novel, a film, or another creative, historical, realistic, or purely fictional source. The rules of a role-playing game indicate how, when, and to what extent each player can influence the imagined space. The most famous and long-standing example of this type of game is undoubtedly Dungeons & Dragons, but it is not the only one. Pathfinder is another recent example, and in truth, many titles are currently on the market. Let's not forget the smaller but highly commendable publishers like The World Anvil Publishing.
